Jim, devoted father of Terry (Mark) Berte and Jamie (Lisa) Schreiber; grandfather of Michael (Katie), Andrew, and Matthew Caster, and Christopher Berte; brother of Paul (Mary) and Gail (the late Fred) Schreiber, and Joanie (George) Hardin. Preceded in death by parents, Roy and Edna and brothers, Sonny, Buddy, and Ronnie. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 at the age of 70. Longtime resident of Greenhills and lifelong employee of the Village of Glendale. Visitation at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pike, Springdale, Friday, April 13, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 PM. Additional visitation at the funeral home on Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Greenhills Fire Department.
