SPRUNGER, Elmore Verne, beloved husband of Kathryn. Loving father of Sandra (Randy) Nunn and Cheryl (David) Ellington. Cherished grandpa of Matthew (Elizabeth) Ellington and Jonathan Ellington. Dear youngest brother of Merlin (Alice) Sprunger, Doris Sprunger, Berneta (Don) Yager, and of the late Freadus (Ruth) Sprunger, Lowell (Nellie) Sprunger, Margaret Sprunger Eggers, Otis (Betty) Sprunger, and Loren Sprunger. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Died December 19, 2014 at the age of 87. Resident of Cincinnati, Ohio and formerly of Berne, Indiana. Korean Conflict Veteran, U.S. Army. Retired aeronautical engineer from GE. Gifted woodworker. Faithful member of Tri-County Baptist Church, where he formerly served as deacon, Sunday School teacher, choir member, and volunteer. Visitation Monday, December 22 from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pike, Springdale, with burial following at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
