CARTER, Sylvia Marie (nee Scott). Beloved wife of Harman Carter. Devoted mother of Shirley Hoaglund, Wanda (Chris) Gastiger, and Lisa (Andy) Grubbs. Loving grandmother of Eric (Theresa) Hughes, Jill (Albert Chung) Hughes, Hayley Gastiger, Andrew Withers, and Luke Grubbs. Great grandmother of four. Dear sister of Alice Faye Graves, Carson Scott, and the late Beulah Pennington. Sylvia passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the age of 83 years. A Celebration of Life will be held at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd., Norwood, OH 45212 on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Norwood Community Senior Center, 4645 Montgomery Rd., Norwood, OH 45212 (checks made payable to: "Norwood Community Seniors").
