Carol L. King

Carol Louise King, age 81, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026. She was born on October 14, 1944, and lived a life defined by love, dedication, and quiet strength. Carol was the beloved widow of John Edward King and a devoted wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Family was the center of her life, and she took great pride in caring for those she loved.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Peggy, and her cherished granddaughter, Jennifer. Carol is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law: Ruth and Cleveland Perry; Linda and Mike Randall; and Donna and Robert Catron along with her brothers and sisters-in-law: Mike Gruenemeier; Steve and Debbie Gruenemeier; Edward and Sandy Gruenemeier; and Kevin and Dawn Gruenemeier. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Alma Gruenemeier along with brothers, Richard Gruenemeier and his wife Cathy, and Dave Gruenemeier and his wife Janet.

She retired from the United States Postal Service after 36 years of dedicated service. Her strong work ethic and commitment were a source of pride to her family and colleagues alike. Carol will be remembered for her kindness, her steadfast love for her family, and the legacy of devotion she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.

Guests may visit with the family at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd., Norwood, OH 45212 on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 11AM until time of service at 12Noon. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
