Charlene Louise Westrich

WESTRICH, Charlene Louise (nee Meents) "Char". Devoted wife of the late Dale Westrich. A dear sister to Janet (the late Bill) Fox, Beverly (the late Tom) Smith, the late John (Valerie) Meents, the late Ronald (late Sandy) Meents, the late George Meents, Vivian (Jim) Runk, Barbara (Tom) Seibert, Bill (the late Ann) Meents, the late Kathy (John) Thompson, Denise (Paul) Stone, Gary (the late Nancy) Meents, Tommy (Shelly Hemming) Meents, Mary Meents, and Larry Meents. Char is also survived by a huge extended family of many in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, George & Catherine (nee Schmitt) Meents.

Charleenie Weenie, Our Americana Queenie, was a matriarch of her family. A proud sister of her 14 siblings, and second mother to her beloved nieces and nephews, Char was unique to say the least. With her quirky original songs, hundreds of high heels, and nick names, Char was a force. The love she had for her family was unmatched; making sure each and every person had a gift on Christmas and welcoming everyone to her home to swim in the summers. Charlene's personality was as honest and genuine as one could get. Her often-uncensored opinions, one liners, and silly antics, left no doubt that Char was a true original. From Bingo to Bbowling, decorating obnoxious cakes, and guests never leaving her house empty handed, Charlene truely had a heart of gold. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Charlene passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at age 83.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pike, Springdale, OH 45246 from 5-8pm. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 735 Derby Ave. (Winton Place/Spring Grove Village), Cincinnati, OH 45232 at 11am. 

Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery.
