David G. Wright

WRIGHT, David G. Beloved husband of Brenda J. (nee Sparks) Wright. Devoted father of Rebecca Fletcher. Loving son of the late Wilbur and Rose (nee Grasser) Wright; and son-in-law of, Hogan and Della Sparks. Dear brother of Donna (Johnny) Holtzclaw; and brother-in-law of, the late Judy Lyons. Also survived by niece, Michele (Andy) Anderson; and nephews, John Lyons and Michael Lyons.

David was born in Forest Hills, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh. GO STEELERS! He graduated in 1954 from Wilkinsburg High School before joining the United States Air Force. David then moved to Cincinnati, Ohio to work for Greyhound where he met his beloved wife, Brenda. They were married in 1968 then welcomed their daughter, Rebecca in 1977.

David was a proud former member of St. Saviour Church, where he sang in the church choir. He was a former member of the American Legion and enjoyed travelling, gardening, and especially his grand dog, Winston.

David passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at age 90.

Friends may visit with the family at Vorhis & Ryan funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pk., Springdale, OH 45246 on Monday, December 22, 2025 from 10AM until time of funeral service beginning at 11AM. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
