Diann Sue Goshorn

Diann Sue Goshorn (nee Gruenschlaeger), 82, a devoted mother and animal lover, passed away peacefully on May 10th, 2025, with her children and grandchildren by her side. Born on November 27th, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Diann was the oldest of 7 children born to Alvin and Ethel Gruenschlaeger.

Diann is survived by her four children, Doug, Susanne, Mark and Julie, and her siblings, Ron, Jeanne, Linda, Carol, Paul (deceased) and Steve. She loved spending time with her 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Her family and all who met Diann would describe her as a selfless, generous soul, never missing a birthday call or text, down to the very minute. She routinely opened her home to her family (and their furry children) in times of need, where the only repayment required was love and affection.

Her wit and humor made strangers quick friends throughout her life, especially at her many jobs, including Sam’s Club from where she retired in 2019. There she managed the photo lab and enjoyed talking with many of the club members.

A visitation and service are planned for Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 11AM and 12PM, respectively, at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pike, Springdale, OH 45246, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. After laying Diann to rest, family and friends are invited to gather at O’Charley’s on Princeton Pike. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to local animal shelters.
