Donna Marie (Davenport) Palmer, loving wife of 38 years and best friend of Jeffrey Palmer, passed away on Monday, June 17th, 2024. Donna was the loving mother of Jonathan (Carol), and Grandma to Ellie and Tristin. Donna was little sister to brothers Jeff (known as Sonny) and Randy, Sister-In-Law to Mark and Jon Palmer, Jonica and Jackie Davenport. She was a loving aunt Donna to many nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by parents James and Elizabeth Davenport.

Donna lost her battle with frontal temporal dementia, lasting almost 13 years, yet she maintained her quirky sense of humor almost until the very end, often teasing and pranking her caregivers and the nursing home stafft.

Donna was an avid musician, playing the clarinet in numerous community volunteer bands. She was a graduate of Mt. Healthy High School and loved supporting their band, playing in the Alumni Band every year until unable to do so.

Donna had a lengthy career in banking, 27 years at US Bank, where she started as a branch secretary and ended as an associate VP for Government Banking.

Her and Jeff always dreamed of traveling - she especially enjoyed driving through backroad America. She loved the beach, but had a deeplove for the mountains. She liked hiking the Smokies, and the Rockies - Her last real trip was to Yellowstone.

The family is abiding by Donna’s wishes and foregoing any services at this time.

In lieu of flowers, I’m sure Donna would have been grateful if you consider donating to one of her two favorite charities, The Greenhills Volunteer Fire Department and the Alzheimer's Association.
