Edeltraud Marie Baron Sears

SEARS, Edeltraud M. (nee Baron). Survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert N. Sears. Devoted mother of Peter E. Sears, Jane M. Sears-Dundes; and son-in-law, Stephen E. Dundes. Loving grandmother of Christopher A. Sears-Dundes, Sarah Sears, and Alysia Sears. Preceded in death by her parents, Wilhelm and Margaretha Baron; and her sister, Lucia Baron Kirchhofer. 

Edeltraud passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026 at age 90. 

Edeltraud was an employee of Siemens in Germany as an electrician building medical equipment for 14 years until her marriage. She then became a homemaker when she relocated to America. Edeltraud was 50 year member of Cardinal chapter #140 Order of the Eastern Star and always supported her husband and his various Masonic organizations. She was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel on 22 October 2003 and donated regularly to their charities. She received many awards for her service to Hamilton High Twelve Club #414, Royal Arch Masons, and Hamilton Council. She was also recognized by Mercy Hospital and other organizations for her donations of baby hats and blankets for their newborns. Edeltraud was of Catholic faith she recently professed her faith in God and was looking forward to going home in heaven.

Visitation will be held at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pk., Springdale, OH 45246 on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 6-8PM. Order of the Eastern Star service will begin at 7:30PM. Funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 10AM. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, 11200 Princeton Pk., Cincinnati, OH 45246.
