Frederick Seton Staley, Jr.

STALEY, Frederick Seton, Jr. Devoted father of Frederick Seton Staley, III and Matthew Staley. Loving grandfather of Malachi, Nathaniel, and Ella. Dear brother of Gregory Staley, Jeffrey (Sally) Staley, Dr. Bruce (Dr. Christine Henry) Staley, Dr. Barry (Dr. Ronna) Staley, and the late David (Lana) Staley, and late Janice (David) Torline. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Frederick Seton and Madeleine Staley. 

Seton passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at age 83.

He was a proud graduate of Roger Bacon High School and the University of Cincinnati, College of Business Administration where he was named the Outstanding Undergraduate Marketing Student. Upon graduation he pursued a successful career at Procter & Gamble in Market Research, at Warner-Lambert as Group Director of Consumer Products, and later as Vice President of Marketing at Entenmanns. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.

Seton devoted his retirement years to service at the Hamilton County Park District, charitable endeavors, and regular religious devotional activities. He cherished many lifelong friendships from his elementary, high school, and college years, and from his professional career. He especially enjoyed luncheons, social gatherings, and any time he could spend with family and friends whom he loved dearly. Seton confronted health challenges with courage, perseverence, and dignity.

A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 AM on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pike, Springdale, OH, 45246, with a funeral Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 AM at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 17 Farragut Rd., Greenhills, OH, 45218. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
