Gene Kestler

UNITED STATES ARMY KOREAN WAR VETERAN

KESTLER, Gene K. Passed peacefully on August 31, 2016.  He was married to his wife Shirley (nee McCreary) for 63 years. Devoted father of Gene (Cindy) Kestler, Mark (Chris) Kestler, Kathy Kestler-Davis, Mike (Pat) Kestler;  grandchildren,  Nicole Jones, Jacob Kestler, Jessica Kestler, Carly Taylor, Brendon Kestler, Heather Davis, Mac Davis, Kyle Kestler, Kaitlin Kestler;  great grandchildren, Madalyn Jones and Jamison Jones.  US Army Korean War Veteran, a member of the 60th Signal Service Company, a high speed code operator & interceptor. Gene was a Scout Master of Troop 422 in Forest Park for 7 years. He was a Mason and Worshipful Master for 2 years and also a Shriner. He was senior route foreman at Wilson Dairy for 23 years and owner/operator of Premier Coffee. Visitation is Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 2 PM until time of service at 4 PM at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pike, Springdale, OH 45246.
