SEWELL, Gordon L. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, also known affectionately as "Gordy" to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025 at the age of 98.
An avid sports enthusiast, Gordon was an excellent golfer, winning multiple club championships, and also a city title as well. He was also a proud veteran of the US Navy, enlisting at age 17 and served on PT. Boat 465 in the Philippines.
Gordon was preceded in death by his wife Betty of 56 years; and survived by two children, three grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
A private family ceremony will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Springdale Ohio.
