Harley Page

July 8, 1926 — September 13, 2018

Evendale

UNITED STATES ARMY AIR CORPS VETERAN

PAGE, Harley Granville. Beloved husband of Mary M. Page. Devoted father of Carol (Gary) George, Debbie (Dennis) Schumaker, and Marilyn Page. Loving step-father to Michelle G. (Rhys) Evans. Dear grandfather of David George, Emily Fite, and Lindsey Fite. Preceded in death by Joan W. (nee Wilson) Page and Mary P. (nee Dirr) Page.

Harley was a devoted husband and loving father.  He was a man known for his kindness and his willingness to help others.  Above all else, Harley was a family man. He and his wife, Joan, raised their three daughters to be strong and independent women.  He strived to pass on his sense of fairness and compassion( as well as the ability to throw a baseball and build a campfire!)

Harley served in the United States Army Air Corps and was a member of the A.A.S.R.  He also was an independent businessman, owning an auto body repair business from which he retired in his early 60’s. He was a traveler by nature and spent time after his retirement touring the country in his RV.  He was a Mason and active in the Shrine as a member of the Color Guard and enjoyed marching in parades and celebrating with friends afterwards.  He was an avid golfer into his 80’s, and until failing health intervened had a regular game with a group of retirees rotating through many of Cincinnati’s finer courses.

Harley was an outdoors enthusiast.  He was a member of the COBRA boat club where he and his family spent weekends and vacations and formed many long lasting relationships.  He loved animals, especially cats, Katie and Oliver(deceased, but affectionately remembered.). He also found great satisfaction in feeding the many birds, squirrels, and deer that frequented his backyard in Evendale.  He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all those whose lives he touched over these many years.

Harley passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the age of 92 years.
