Joy Douglas

DOUGLAS, Joy Gale (née Branscum), passed away at her home in Savannah, GA on December 6, 2021. Beloved wife of Craig Douglas. Devoted mother of Allison (Jeff) Fay, Kelsey (Joey) Bihlman, Haley (Zach) Adams, Shane Douglas and William Douglas. Loving grandmother of Annelise, Juliette and Henry. Cherished sister of Donna (Steve) Schomaker; and sister-in-law of Michael (Diane) and Jeffrey Douglas. Also loved by many dear friends, nieces, and nephews.

Reunited in heaven with her parents William and Jessie; father-and mother-in-law Herman and Orvine; niece Mandy; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Joy was born in Somerset, KY and grew up in Norwood, OH. A proud graduate of University of Cincinnati and Walden University, Joy worked as a devoted nurse for over 30 years. She will be missed by her many co-workers from Mercy Health.

Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 11 AM until time of service at 1 PM at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd., Norwood, OH 45212.

Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
