Judith Holden

d. August 10, 2021

Judith Holden had just celebrated her 87th birthday when she passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at the Brookdale Senior Living – Springdale location.  She was born on August 7, 1934, in New London, Connecticut.  She graduated from R.E. Fitch High School in Groton, CT., and the Boston School of Nursing.  She lived in Fairfield, Ohio.  She worked as a pediatric operating room nurse in Boston, Massachusetts and at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.   After her retirement Judy taught craft classes at various retirement centers.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Holden, who was the former Mayor of Fairfield and her good friend Richard H. Lee.  She is survived by her sister, Jane Peckham and brothers David and Donald Peckham.  She enjoyed reading, bird watching, gardening and for years had season tickets to the Bengals.  Since then, she never missed a game on TV.  She loved to travel and took trips all over the world.  She also loved to sing.  She was involved in several choir groups.  More than anything else, she will be remembered for her kindness to her friends and her love of animals, especially her dog and her cat.  Contributions can be made to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.  Graveside services are Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 11:00 AM in Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
