SHEFFIELD, Karen Sue (nee Goldsberry). Beloved wife of 50 years to Emery Sheffield. Devoted mother of Mary Beth (David) Wright. Loving grandmother of Nicholas (Jade) Sheffield, Emily Wright, and Mason Wright. Dear sister of Carol Hawkins, Charlene King; and the late Ralph (Doris) Goldsberry, Dale (Ava) Goldsberry, and Harry Goldsberry. Sister-in-law of Bonnie Goldsberry, Dawn (Bill) Rowling; and the late, Greg Hawkins, and JB King. Preceded in death by parents, Ralph Emerson Goldsberry and Mary Etta Chadwell Goldsberry. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Karen was valedictorian of The Plains High School in 1963. She showed great passion in music from an early age, playing the clarinet in high school and contributing to her school's marching band. In her adult life, she spent much of her time sharing this passion and spreading love to others, working as both a teacher and a dedicated church music secretary for Springdale Nazarene Church. Karen loved God and spread His word as a very devoted member of the church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family and adored her grandchildren.

Karen passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at age 80.
