Karen West

Karen M. West, age 69, passed away March 31, 2026 at her home in Batavia Ohio. She was born on October 5, 1956 to the late Jay Sr. and Dolly Mattingly.

Karen was a beloved wife, mother, sister & grandmother. She loved trivia and was an avid Jeopardy watcher. She loved to shop and spend time with her family, creating fun and meaningful memories for all the kids of the family.

She is survived by her husband, Dan; children, Jesse and Alice; stepchildren, Danielle and her wife Dee, Arianna and her husband Jesse; grandchildren, Tracy, Travis, Cheyenne, Tessla, Lane, Mason, Rozandra and Atlas; great-grandchild, Leo; her sister, Joy Ritner; and brother, Matthew Mattingly. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, friends, extended family, and her beloved dog Princess.

In addition to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by her brother, Jay Mattingly Jr.

Visitation will be held at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd., Norwood, OH 45212 on Monday, April 6, 2026 beginning at 10AM. A time for sharing memories to celebrate Karen’s life, will begin at 12noon. Burial will immediately follow at Graceland Memorial Gardens.
