Mary Rita Metzmeier

METZMEIER, Mary Rita (nee Kinderman), age 89 who gracefully departed this world on August 19, 2025 at home, surrounded by family. 

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Jim Metzmeier. Loving mother of Jim Jr. (Barb and the late Debbie), Julie Turner (late Steve), LeaAnn Wagers, Linda Nix (Nick); and the late Mark, Bruce (Vanessa). Cherished grandmother of Laura, Aubree, Tony, Christie, Cynthia, Rachel, Adam, and Alex, and proud great-grandmother of seven. She is also survived by her siblings Juliana, Stella, Doris, Tom; and the late Jack, Bob, Jim, Nola, Betty, Louise, and Patsy. Mary was born and raised in Louisville, KY, daughter of the late John and Estella Kinderman. 

Mary was known for her compassion as a Medical Social Worker. In 1976 she began her career at Maple Knoll Village working full time, which allowed her to attend college to obtain her BSW and MSW to become a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW). Mary's beautiful heart enriched the lives of all who knew her, evidenced by her unwavering devotion to family and her Catholic faith. Her passions were family and travelling. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 48 W. Sharon Rd., Glendale, OH 45246 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
