Michael Steven Ray

Michael Ray, devoted husband to Janis (nee Henrich), loving father to Anne (Joseph) Dellamorte and Adam (Wendy) Ray, and cherished Gramps to Joey and Bonnie Dellamorte was called home to our Lord on Thursday, June 25 at the age of 72. In addition to his wife, children, and grandchildren, he is survived by his beloved chosen mother Bonnie Henrich, brothers Thomas (Ann) Henrich and Todd (Marian) Henrich, sister Denise (Steve) Hopkins, many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was a blessing to us all. 

A longtime Springboro resident and passionate local pharmacist, Michael grew up in Fairfield, Ohio. He met his wife of 50 years at Eastern Kentucky University and made lifelong friends as he continued his pharmacy education at Mercer University. He was truly a “jack of all trades” and spent many hours working projects around the house and backyard. He will be lovingly remembered for his unmatched gentleness, kindness, and the rare gift he had in the ability to make everyone he spoke with feel seen and important. He loved Spanish guitar music, chocolate cake, vacations, his backyard garden, and the annual meteor shower camp out at Caesar’s Creek State Park. But most of all, he loved his family. 

His wife and children would like to express their thanks to all who visited and called in Michael’s final days. He was surrounded by love, stories, and memories of a wonderful life. 

Friends and loved ones may express condolences at the Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pike, Springdale, OH 45246 on Friday, July 3, 2026. Visitation will begin at 9AM with funeral service to follow at 10:30AM. Interment will be immediately following the service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Springdale.
