Obituary

Nellie Mae Stanforth (Williston), age 98, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Nell was born on January 14, 1928, in Hazard, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Parris Pinnix and Charles Stanforth. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Will and Elizabeth Williston; and her siblings, Walter Williston, Wade Williston, Jerry Williston, Woodrow Williston, Ann Lea, and Jane Brashear.

Nell is survived by her children, David (Pam) Pinnix, Kevin (Liz) Stanforth, Kristen (Steve) Reeves, Kraig (Karen) Stanforth, and Kyle (Lynne) Stanforth; her grandchildren, Amanda, Derek, Melanie, Rachel, Hannah, Danielle, Jared, Nate, Kaylee, Maddie, Travis, Chanelle, Devon, and Peyton; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Nell worked at Avon in the Tri-County office for many years. After she and Charlie were married, they volunteered at The Christ Hospital, where they lovingly delivered cards and flowers to patients’ rooms.

Nell was a longtime member of Lockland Christian Church, where she was a devoted member for more than 70 years. For the last 30 years, Nell called Maple Knoll Village her home, where she built many cherished memories and friendships.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Monday, October 12th from 10:00 AM until time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pike Cincinnati, OH 45246. Burial will follow at Reading Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Nell’s honor to the Maple Knoll Village “Good Neighbor Charity Fund,” 11100 Springfield Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45246, or through their website Donate Here.
