Rebecca was born on march 16th, 1948 in Massillon to Charles and Alice Scharver. She went to meet her savior on June 11th, peacefully at home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Thompson II, so, Edward C. Thompson, and her father, Charles E. Scharver. She is survived by her sons, Jay, Adam, Jim (Gwen), stepdaughter, Jonelle Thompson, and daughter in love, Robin Marker. She is survived by her mother, Alice F. (Longheier) Scharver, sisters: Mimi (Robin) Gozdan and Sally (Greg) Mason, and brothers Paul(Jeanette) Scharver and Steve (Angie) Scharver. Grandchildren: Jack, Kate, Charlie, Brayden, Daniel Thompson, and Andrew Marker. And many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of Jackson High School, Massillon, Ohio; University of Cincinnati with an Assoc. Degree in Art in 1979, BS in 1984, and an MBA from Xavier University in 1987. She was employed by Dugan & Meyers for many years before her retirement in 2004 to enjoy life with her husband, John. She could be found crocheting, reading, doing jigsaw puzzles and daily bible reading. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and her church family of New Life Chapel
There will be no formal calling hours and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Burial will be a Landmark Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the /American Cancer Society, Autism Foundation, or your favorite charity.
