Samuel Meece

Samuel Perkins Meece: born 4th month 3rd day of 34 in Pulaski County, KY; the son of Charlie and Angie (Calhoun) Meece. He was married to Edith Mae (Phelps) Meece who pre-ceded him in death. Loving father to  Annette (Anthony) West, Wendell Phelps of Somerset, KY and Walker Brooks Pollitt IV  of Cincinnati, Ohio.  He leaves behind  5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; brother of the late: Ruby E Meece, Geneva Metcalf, Pearl Dragoo, Infant Sister Josephine Meece, Leonard Meece, Harold Meece, Lewis Meece, and Ed Meece. He was a retired stationary engineer, a veteran of the United States Navy and a Member of the Masonic Lodge #671. Samuel departed this life on Tuesday, April the 17th, 2018 being 84 years of age. Family and friends may visit Monday, April 23 at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Road, Norwood, Ohio 45212 from 10 AM until time of Services at 12 Noon.  Burial will take place in Persimmon Grove Cemetery at 2 PM at 9851 Barrs Branch Road, Alexandria, KY 41001.
