Shauna Lee Harsley

Shauna Lee (nee Perkins) Harsley, born on December 23, 1953, passed away on May 8, 2026. A devoted daughter of the late Don and Judy (nee Thompson) Perkins, Shauna carried forward their spirit in every smile she shared and every heart she touched.

From her early days at Lakota High School to her further studies at the University of Cincinnati, where she earned an Associates degree in Physical Therapy, Shauna dedicated her life to the care and comfort of others. As a geriatric physical therapist, she delighted in making her patients smile, affectionately calling them her “old people,” and cherished the laughter they shared.

Shauna fiercely loved her family. She is survived by her children; Edward (Jennifer) Meiners and Christopher (Anna) Meiners; her beloved grandchildren, Benjamin, Abigail, Ian, Parker, and Everett Meiners. Sharing her life’s journey alongside her surviving companion, James Scarboro, Shauna’s circle of love extended beyond immediate family to include her siblings; Thomas “Tom” Perkins, Julie (Jon) Vandendriessche, and the late James “Jim” (Kathleen) Perkins.

Beyond her professional and familial roles, Shauna was a woman of vibrant passions. She found peace beside any body of water—be it ocean, lake, or stream—where the gentle flow of nature mirrored the calm of her soul. The wind in her hair during motorcycle rides fueled her spirit and sense of freedom. And when music played, especially country tunes, she danced with wholehearted joy, embodying a zest for life that was infectious to all around her.

A Celebration of of Shauna’s Life will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 5-8PM at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pk., Springdale, OH 45246. Words of Remembrance will begin at 7:30PM.
