Thomas Smith

SMITH, Tom, age 81, of Cincinnati Ohio, devoted husband of Beverly (nee Meents) for over 57 years.

A graduate of Purcell High School and Army veteran, Tom’s life and example will be cherished by his children Christine (Todd) Marallen, Cherie Ashworth, Tommy, Kevin (Jeannie), and Donnie Smith; and his grandchildren, who call him “Guppy", Timmy, Colin, Mackenzie, Jack, and Natalie Shimrock; Tomi (Nick) Nusekabel and Steven Ashworth; Kory (Sydney), and Sierra Smith; Michaela, Madison, and Ryan Smith. He is also survived by three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Richard & Ruth Smith.

As someone who could figure out and fix most things, Tom was a consistent resource for anyone who needed help with their firearms, computers, cars, or other projects.

Tom fiercely loved his family, his dogs, and his friends and time at Southwestern Ohio Conservation Club. He was at his happiest watching a movie on the couch with Bev, telling stories about the military, or driving the Guppy Van to Golden Corral and Waffle House with the grandkids.

Tom passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022.

Friends may greet the family at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 3450 Lumardo Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45238 on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Old Cemetery.
