William Murphy

William Joseph Murphy, age 86, Norwood, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at home with family.  He was born in Fayetteville, Ohio on January 6, 1932.  He was the son of Richard and Elsie (nee Loppacher).  He married Etta Jean Patton on August 28, 1954 and was a devoted husband for 51 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Etta, brother Richard, sisters Jewel Conover and Betty Mehn, and his daughter Lori.  Father of Gil (Ruth) Murphy, Bob Murphy, Beth (Mark) Nolte, and Ron (Karen) Murphy.  Brother of Chris Murphy.  Grandfather to Gib (Jessica) Murphy, Blair (Alicia) Murphy, Matthew (Jaime) Murphy, LeeEtta (Daron) Grubbs, Christian Shepherd, Timith Shepherd, Taylor West, Cooper Nolte, Caspar Nolte, Carter Nolte, Maxwell Murphy, Darcey Murphy, and Rory Murphy. Great grandfather of more.  Dear friend of Olga Lua and Alma Lua.  William loved life and definitely gave more than he took.  Visitation will be held at the Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd. 45212 on Monday September 17 from 9:00 AM until time of service at 10:30AM. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fayetteville, Ohio.
