Augustus Gardner

GARDNER, Augustus "Gus" Raymond, Jr. Born January 28, 1926 to Augustus R. Gardner, Sr. and Martha (nee Franklin) Gardner.

AR passed away peacefully on Monday, December 14, 2020.

Gus was a US Naval Servicemen during WWII serving on the USS Kimberly.

He will be missed by his wife of 68 years Audrey Gardner (nee Denney); son AR Gardner; daughter Lynn Klaserner (David); grandson Cody (Elizabeth); great-granddaughter Nora; step grandchildren Randy and Mindy; and sister-in-laws Carolyn Gardner and Neoma Gardner. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tommy and Bobby Gardner; and sister Carolyn Purcell. He will also be missed by many in the dirt-track auto racing community.

Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pk., Springdale, OH 45246 from 11am until time of service at 1pm. Burial with military honors, will follow in Crown Hill Memorial Park.
