Carol Jean (nee Mailhot) Hodge

The sunrise for Carol was Oct. 24, 1974. She was the daughter to the late Teresa (Shorter) Frary and John A. Mailhot. Mother to the late Samantha Moore. Survived by daughters Mary Ann Mailhot, Felicia Danielle Mailhot and Emily Grace Barney. She was the greatest Nana to Brandon, Karsyn, Ali, and Toby. Devoted sister to Tina (Mike) Alcorn, Tanya (Mark) Hodge, Michelle (Jeff) Lollis, Paul (Kim) Mailhot and John. Loving aunt to Tyler, Devin, Morgan, Jacob, Brittany, Randi, Kylie, Angelee, Terelee and many other nieces and nephews and great nieces. Great friend to Casey and many others.

Carol loved being a Nana, mom, sister, aunt and daughter. She endured and overcame many obstacles in her 46 years of life, but the loss of her child was the one thing she could not defeat. The sun set for Carol on April 23, 2021.

Graveside service will be held at 11AM on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Reading Cemetery, 200 W Columbia Ave., Reading, OH 45215.
Friends are invited to join the family to celebrate Carol’s life at The Backyard Bar, 10 E Columbia Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45215 immediately following the service.
