Daisy Hardcastle

Daisy Virginia Burkhalter Hardcastle went home to the Lord on August 14, 2020. Funeral services will be held at Argo Baptist Church in Argo, Alabama with Morgan Funeral Chapel directing. Burial will be at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a longtime active member of Norwood Baptist Church in Cincinnati.

Daisy was born October 25, 1922 in Gordo, Alabama. She graduated from Gordo High School and then obtained her degree from Ida V. Moffet School of Nursing in Birmingham. She worked as a nurse for 55 years before surrendering her license at the age of 77. Upon retirement she enjoyed traveling across the states and pursuing her hobbies of crocheting and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edmund A. Hardcastle, son Edmund A. Hardcastle, Jr., father Willian Luther Burkhalter, mother Naomi Koon Burkhalter, brother Lee Colyum Burkhalter, sister Ruby Inez Burkhalter Lokey, and sister Erma Ruth Burkhalter Homan.

Daisy loved the Lord with all of her heart professing her faith to all. She constantly studied God’s Word. She always had a smile and a kind word. She will be missed by all of her nieces and nephews who loved her greatly.

The family thanks the Personal Care Givers who took excellent care of her - Ty Miskell, Kristin Washington, Debra Pavolini, KeKe Harris, Jennifer Craig, Doris Hopkins, and Jacqueline Hall. Also, the family asks that in lieu of flowers and plants that donations be made to the Church in her name.
