Anderson

Earline Turner, 97, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2021, at Forest Hills Care Center in Cincinnati from complications of Covid-19. Earline was the beloved mother of Deborah (née Turner) Wiseman of New Richmond, Ohio, mother-in-law of William Wiseman, Grandma ET to Krista Wiseman-Moore and her husband, Jason Moore, and dear Great-Grandma ET to Adeline Moore and Alex Moore. Earline was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Mitchell Turner, and her grandson, Bret Alan Wiseman.

Born and raised in Owsley County in southeastern Kentucky, Earline was the youngest and last remaining of eight children born to Henry Edgar and Maggie Mae (née Bond) Mainous. After graduating from high school, Earline relocated to the Cincinnati area and later married Mitchell shortly after his return from serving with the Army Air Corp in India during WWII. They settled in Norwood, Ohio, where Earline was a resident for almost 70 years. She retired after 25 years with the Norwood City School District as a cook and baker, which were skills she also liked to put to use at home. She attended Ashland Avenue Baptist Church for most of her years in Norwood, and she was an active participant at the Norwood Senior Center after her husband’s death.
Earline’s kind nature and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

There will be a private service for the immediate family, followed by a private burial in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
