Rennia Baird

March 7, 1961 — September 29, 2020

Rennia Baird passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at the age of 59 and she was a Registered Organ Donor and saved lives.  Rennia was born on March 07, 1961 in Jellico, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late George Brown Baird from Stinking Creek, TN and late Shirley Jean (née Glandon) Baird of Jellico, TN.
Rennia is survived, and was a loving and devoted Mother to her Daughters, Amy Moore-Dickerson, and Tricia Moore and to her Son, John Baird-Dewald (Aaliyah). Rennia loved her Eight Grandchildren so much and was so excited to meet her Ninth Grandson, Jasper. Proud Grandmother to Amy’s three children: Daughters Aliyah and Rylee and Son Avery. Tricia’s four children: Daughters Aushalei, Aurielle, and Aureinne and Son Julius. John’s daughter Seosaimhin and his Son Jasper, soon to be born. Rennia was a Sister of Seven Siblings and one lovely Half Sister (Shirley Lapp). Rennia was the Dear Sister of the late Brothers, George Junior Baird and Edgar Divine Baird and Dear Sister of the late Patricia Ann Baird and the late brother-in-law Howard “Spike” Reno of Lockland, Ohio. Survived by Sisters; Shirley Lapp of Queensland, Australia, Sondia G. Gauche of Finneytown, Ohio, and Melinda K. Spruit of Grand Blanc, Michigan and Brother, John L. Baird of Cincinnati, Ohio.  Rennia was a proud and loving Aunt of many nieces and nephews; Peter, Sharon, and the late Marcus Lapp (Shirley's children), Stephanie, Coreena, Brian “Ray” and Johnathon (John's children), Sterling and Joshua (Sondia's children), and Tiffany, August and Timothy "Timmy" Chaffee (Melinda's children).  Rennia was a cherished and adored Great Aunt, Niece, Cousin and Friend to many and will truly be missed. Rennia Graduated from Lockland High School and her favorite thing was the dictograph, auto repair class and playing Basketball. Her Career started as a waitress at Skyline Chili in Reading, Ohio where she worked her way up to a Supervisor position. Rennia later went to work for The Hilton Hotel AKA The Holiday Inn in Sharonville in the Banquet Department and was the Assistant Banquet Captain, working along side of her Sister, Sondia. After many years Rennia decided to become a Care Provider and made a wonderful impact on everyone’s lives she touched through her endless giving, love and care. Rennia was always a Care provider and would help everyone out with anything that she could do for them. Rennia enjoyed all kinds of music, watching movies (especially ones with George Clooney in them) and hanging out with family and friends. Rennia always had big cookouts especially with her Brother Eddie, “Master Cook and Griller”, before he passed.  Rennia loved to dance, listen to bands, fish, picnic, swim and do anything involving Family and Friends. Rennia always had a beautiful smile on her face and she was full of life, laughter and fun. One of her favorite sayings was, “Christmas is not just in December, everyday is like Christmas because it’s a Celebration and a Gift from God”!  Our Family Home that our Parents bought on Patterson Street when they moved from Tennessee to Lockland, Ohio will never be the same without Rennia there, just like it wasn’t the same when we lost our Parents, however it’s our old Homeplace that we cherish. Rennia planted an Apple tree out front and she loved taking care of it and watching it grow to bear fruit  so if you ever pass by, please take an Apple and think of her. She never wanted anyone to mourn her passing but to Celebrate her Life and God has her now, Resting in Peace. God Bless her and she’ll be truly missed by all who knew her.
