Thomas Benjamin

Tom Benjamin passed away peacefully on Monday, August 30th. He was preceded in heaven by his loving wife, Sharon, as well as his brother Chuck and parents Stanley and Lillian. Tom leaves behind his brother Jim, daughters Julie Peter (John), and Karen Beth Peter (David), along with grandchildren Lilly, JT, Sullivan, Ryan, and Murphy.
Tom spent many years working for Thriftway at various locations as a dedicated and valued meat department manager. His most proud title however was that of "Pop", which he came to be known after the grand kid's arrival. He was their biggest fan and loved showing his support of all their pursuits.
He was well known for his skills as a fisherman, pool shooter, and card player. He was a tough competitor and always sportsmanlike. He worked hard and played hard and was a great example of how to live life to it's fullest.  Tom was a 1963 graduate of Norwood High School. He will be fondly remembered by classmates and coworkers as a great friend and family man.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Norwood High School Athletic Scholarship Fund.
